Wineothetical (pron. Wine– a–thetical) is an experience that we’re hoping will generate new ideas and solutions through the use of examination and conversation.

What’s a ‘Wineothetical’ you ask? It’s a unique style of discussion and debate. Samantha will moderate this sessions with a panel of key members of the wine industry (including you as a participant) to turn this issue on its head.

If you’ve been following the news or seen the changes in your own community you know there’s drastic changes and initiatives being introduced nationally (Sydney’s lockout laws, rules around public drinking and the type of alcohol at events, etc) that are affecting our incredible industry. We’re going to give you the worst case scenario of where all these laws and rules are heading and we need as many minds in the same room to bring up different viewpoints and solutions.

Samantha has been immersed in the Wine Industry for just over a decade now.

From humble beginnings, her love and understanding of wine grew over many years- She has been the Head Sommelier of restaurants such as Manly Pavilion, 4Fourteen and China Lane is now a Wine Consultant currently in charge of numerous lists in Sydney such as Museum of Sydney’s new restaurant ‘The Governors Table’, Museum of Contemporary Art and the ‘Bar at the End of the Wharf’ at the Sydney Theatre Company and ‘Bistro No.1’ inside of The old Sydney Mint building to name a few. Samantha also writes about wine regularly for various publications and hosts wine video channel ‘How to Drink Wine with Samantha’ on The Guardian website and has her own website of her vinous adventures coming out later in the year.

She is also part of the coveted alumni for the Wine Australia ‘Future Leaders of Wine’ program on 2015.
